Abstract

저자들은 1987년 1월부터 1996년 6월까지 연세대학교 치과대학병원에 내원하여 임상, 방
사선학적 그리고 조직 병리학적으로 석회화 치성낭으로 진단 받은 9예를 대상으로 임상적,
방사선학적, 조직병리학적 소견을 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.
1. 9 증례의 발생연령은 13세에서부터 55세까지이며 평균연령은 25세다. 남녀의 성비는 2
: 1 로서 남성에서 2배 많이 호발하였다.
2. 방사선 사진 소견상 9예 모두 잘 경계지어진 방사선 투과성 병소였으며 이중 한예를
제외한 나머지는 단방성의 병소였다.
3. 방사선학적 분류로서 순수한 방사선 투과성 병소는 3예, 내부에 석회화된 물질들을 함
유하고 있는 병 소인 혼합병소는 6예로 관찰되었다.
4. 조직병리학적 분류로는 단순낭성이 예, 아종과 연관된 낭성이 5예,종양성이 2예로 나타
났다.
5. 조직병리학적 분류에 따른 방사선 사진 소견은 단순낭성은 모두 순수한 방사선 투과성
병소로, 치아종을 함유한 낭의 경우는 1예만 순수 투과성 병소로 나타났고 나머지 4예는
혼합병소였다. 종양성 병소에서는 2예 모두 혼합병소로 관찰되었다.

Nine cases presented with a calcifying odontogenic cyst to the Dental Hospital of the
College of Dentistry, Yonsei University, from January 1987 to September June, 1996,
Clinical or histopathological findings were observed according to each radiologic criteria.
The results obtained are as follows :
1. The male to female ratio was 2 : 1 with a mean age of 25 years.
2. The radiographic appearences of nine cases were well-defined radiolucent lesions in
which eight cases were shown unilocular lesions and only one lesion was seen
multilocular lesion.
3. Radiologically, three of nine cases were pure radiolucent lesions and others, six
cases were radiolucent contained a variable amount of radiopaque material.
4. Histologically, two cases were classified simple cyst, five were cyst associated
odonoma, two were neoplastic type.
5. Histological findings according to the radiological classification, two of three
radiolucency lesions were simple cysts; another was a cyst associated with odontoma.
While, four of six radiologic mixed lesions turned out to be a cyst associated with
odontoma, two was the neoplastic type.
